1) These discs may not be compatible with some DVD players or drives. Compatible DVD loading software is required to load a disc (recorded upon using a recorder) on the disc drive.

2) Maxell's DVD+R discs that conform to the new standards for 16x writing-speed recording are for use in DVD+R/+RW drives that conform to using 16x writing-speed DVD+R discs. Use of these discs in some manufacturers' 2.4x or 4x writing-speed DVD+R/+RW drives that do not conform to 16x writing-speed discs may cause writing errors or damage to the recorded data. A firmware update is required prior to using 16x writing-speed DVD+R discs on these particular drives.
